Many famous fashion designers had no problem shunning Melania Trump.

They said they’d never dress her.

Now, some big names are flocking to the future first lady.

From CT:

Remember how designers were saying that they weren’t going to design for first lady Melania Trump and that other designers shouldn’t do so, either? Well, it seems that initiative fell through in a big way.

According to the New York Post, several major designers have expressed their willingness — in fact, their eagerness — to dress Melania Trump for the inauguration of her husband as the 45th president of the United States.

“While Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs have declared that they wouldn’t want her in their pricey duds, there are plenty other designers who would kill to get their designs on her, says socialite and philanthropist Jean Shafiroff, who rubbed elbows with the Trumps at Mar-a-Lago during the New Year’s Eve fete there,” the Post wrote.

“Shafiroff, whose own closet is filled with Oscar de la Renta, tells The Post that Zac Posen, B. Michael America, Victor de Souza and Zang Toi would all be thrilled to dress America’s first lady,” the paper added.

“Any designer who dresses her will get enormous press,” Shafiroff told the newspaper.

While that’s a pretty impressive designer list, Melania and Donald Trump’s people have been relatively quiet on just who she’ll be wearing come Jan. 20. She’s known to favor Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci, but she could go outside those major names and still look good. (Melania Trump could wear Lady Gaga’s meat suit and still look good. — Ed. note)

Melania for the win?
